Just A Closer Walk with Thee~~

On the 26th June, the Legio Juvenis had a gathering which with the greatness of the LORD,the Youth of St.Theresa (CFM) joined us in our gathering...It started @ 7.30pm and ended @11pm... During the gathering I had i mean we had such a great sharing which was about THANKFULNESS...not just thankful to your family neither your friends but GOD....Who brought his only Son to this world to die for US because of our SINS... IF its not because of HIM,We wouldnt be here today standing and praising HIM together as we normally say...BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST.....

Thanking is not just thanking~ its to throw;to give thanks;laud or praise;to confess something about GOD;to confess ones own's sins...

I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast [now] made known unto us the king's matter. Daniel 2:23

                          What are we thankful for? This is a question that we all should ask everyday that God allows us to wake up. I so love the song that says " EVERYDAY IS THE DAY OF THANKSGIVING. GOD'S BEEN SO GOOD TO ME, EVERYDAY HE'S BLESSING ME. EVERYDAY, IS THE DAY OF THANKSGIVING. TAKE THE TIME TO GLORIFY THE LORD TODAY." Through the years, this song stays dear to my heart. When we think about the woulda, coulda and shoulda's in our life, it becomes our anthem. This week is the week leading up to Thanksgiving. I decided to briefly elaborate on our topic... THE SPIRITUAL MEANING OF BEING THANKFUL THIS THANKSGIVING. Please read and be blessed! I WOULD LOVE FOR ALL OF YOU TO POST ATLEAST ONE THING THAT YOU ARE REALLY AND TRULY GRATEFUL FOR! I WILL BE AWAITING THE RESPONSES...

*The word thanksgiving literally means to give thanks. This means that we show our gratitude for the things that we are blessed with. The quick history lesson summary is...
Thanksgiving is celebrated every year on the 4th Thursday of November, during autumn in the United States but not in malaysia neither in MALACCA , after crops are gathered. When the first European settlers in America gathered their crops, they celebrated. They thanked their God for the success of the harvest. Tradition says the first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621 by Pilgrim settlers from England. There is evidence that settlers in other parts of America held earlier Thanksgiving celebrations. Thanksgiving also is a time when Americans share what they have with those who do not have much. Churches and other groups provide free meals for old people, the homeless, and the poor. Many Americans give turkeys or other food to these groups. Some spend part of the day helping to prepare and serve the meals. Religious ceremonies are an important part of Thanksgiving day for many Americans. People join in prayers and songs of Thanksgiving. One of the most famous songs is called "Prayer of Thanksgiving." The words and music tell of the traditional meaning of Thanksgiving: We gather with our family. We share what we have, give thanks for the good things of the past year.

We need to be thankful at all times and in all circumstances. The real question on our minds is not whether we should be thankful but who we need to be thankful to. The Hebrew word for thanks means to make public.

The Pilgrims revealed an example of extreme gratitude toward God for all that He had done for them. Their situation was bleak but their God was amazing. There was more than enough reason to offer thanks to God.

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Being Thankful is an attitude (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Is it possible to be thankful in all circumstances? Can we be thankful for evil situations, trials, and tragedies? Bad things happen to good, godly people every day. Paul said: be thankful in all circumstances. As Christians, we know that life has its share of hard times but we also know that Christ is with us through those hard times. No matter what life may throw at us, Christ is with us. We can be victorious in the midst of hardships and trials. Listen to what Jesus told the disciples: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33 Jesus brings us His victory over the world. He brings us the spirit of overcoming.

Being thankful is an action (Colossians 3:17)

We should have the desire to live in a manner that brings honor to the name of Christ. Thankfulness means that we are different because of God's blessings. Is your life different since you have known Christ?
Being thankful is an action (Colossians 3:17 -And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him).

We cannot say that we are thankful for God's blessings and then constantly complain. We cannot say we are thankful for salvation and continue to walk in sin. We cannot say that we are thankful for the church and never attend. Thankfulness is revealed by the way we act. Our behavior demonstrates our gratitude toward God. We choose our behaviors and everyday we make a choice to be grateful or to be ungrateful. Be Blessed!

Fading away~

When I was younger,I love to go to church..haha.... The feeling was different before this,I would go to church with my parents and aunts...The mass was so lively,where every1 would sing and join in into new songs,then after mass,the YOUTH and Altar Servers would have Coffee and Tea every SUNDAY.....*confession* i like the part is the music and especially COFFEE TEA after mass!!! haha... just imagine a young boys or girls view *try going his or her height* Where every1 is smiling and talking to each other after mass where people still would stay and have a chat with a friend....Where the little ones would be talking to their frenz.....laughter could be heard from afar....lol...FELLOWSHIP is what we need again in church... To acknowledge as of good standing, or in communion according to standards of faith and practice; to admit to Christian fellowship. I am not saying that there is no fellowship in churh,but what I see,its FADING AWAY..Nowdays,you would see less people after mass hanging around talking to each other...I have made a survey,where I ask a family a random, Why dont you stay and have a chat with your frenz? I would like to go home and watch TV....very good drama is on~haha.....well? Maybe some people is busy on sundays...but SUNDAYS?? I just miss the old days.....THINGS CHANGE! I know... So 'The Plan' for LEGIO JUVENIS is having coffee tea is 1 of our plan....to bring the community together!! I dun think every1 knows every1...haha.... You wouldnt know who you will meet,maybe you need some1 in your probs,but u cant find any1 outside but all of a sudden you meet some1 in church during coffee tea after mass....haha...HOW DO YOU GUYS FEEL ABOUT THIS????AM I RIGHT?

To any1 that disagree or agree and wants to leave a comment,please do!! message me at nigel_nonis@yahoo.co.uk or just leave a comment!!

His name YOUTH.

Not let me reminisce as I rhyme
to tell you of my dear past time
There was a young boy-his name is Youth
which was partially evident by his missing tooth
with bandages on his knees and his dirty face
one could see how he loved to race
with his friends in the neighborhood street
Joyously he ran with his bear feet
He would always be content and light as a feather
as he always expected sweet warm weather
Although he had yet to grow and a bigger body to obtain
he never worried unless the sky began to rain
How depressing the day would be
if in that baby blue sky no happy smiling sun he could see
with his pleasant boyish grin he found he could win
the heart of anyone no matter what predicament he was in
He had a pure sincere heart wrapped in gold
As he watched the mysteries of life unfold
with his undying and unconditional love
he soared through the sky like a beautiful white dove
Shall I compare my youth with diamonds or most valuable gold?
No, for my boyhood is more precious than all this world can hold.
How much better we'd live and how free we'd be
if we'd realize that youth lives in you and-
He always lives in me.

The Weeping Babe by Nigel Michael Nonis

She kneels by the cradle
Where Jesus doth lie;
Singing, Lullaby, my Baby!
But why dost Thou cry?

The babes of the village
Smile sweetly in sleep;
And lullaby, my Baby,
That ever dost weep!

I've wrapped Thee in linen,
The gift of the Kings;
And wool, soft and fleecy,
The kind Shepherd brings.

Now smile, little Jesus,
Whom naught can defile;
All gifts will I give Thee
An thou wilt but smile.

But it's lullaby, my Baby!
And mournful am I,
Thou cherished little Jesus,
That still Thou wilt cry.
Nothing on my mind,lol....i do not know how to go on somemore.... i hope this is more than enough~

Another Day in the Youth~~

Well,is wasnt Good but it wasnt bad either for the last gathering....The attendance were low,which only consist of the core team only but the phrase "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." where its true... We do not need more people just to have a gathering....but We as the youth which is also called as the PILLARS OF THE CHURCH is the FOUNDATION of the church....To keep the Youth Group ALIVE, we literally need the YOUTH to JOIN IN in our P&W,Sharings,Games And other sort of stuff....On our ONCOMING Gathering,We would be having our POTLUCK at the end of the youth.....The idea was from one of the youth,That was actually great!! So the youth gathering would always be different,wouldnt be the same old routine,where we come together and pray,games and the go home,where now,We could come together,as YOUTH and knowing each other. If I am right,some of us doesnt know some of the guys or gals that is in the youth...because SO DO I!!! haha...well I hope this next session We could know EACH OTHER well....But something thats bothers me,
Why is there always an Excuse for not coming for the Youth gathering?? Most of the Youth Group face these problems....I think so.....

There would always be an excuse for the youth....mostly it would be TUITION, Well,I dont think we need tuition if we CONCENTRATE well in class rather than Talking while teacher is talking,but well WE ARE STILL KIDS!!! Intend to be REBELLIOUS but DO YOU THINK TUITION MAKES A DIFFERENCE?? I dun think so,I was a student B4 which I am still 1.... but actually is that the HARDWORK we PUT IN on the day BEFORE THE EXAMS.....*studying till 2 am,drinking coffee and other stuff~~

well its good to study,but dun over do it!!

DUN STUDY HARD BUT STUDY SMART!!
